Mission Statement

THE PURPOSE STATEMENTS OF THE CHURCH

As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana(PCG) in the North America Australia Presbytery Inc., our Vision, Mission and Core Values come together to form our purpose statements.

The Emmanuel Presbyterian Mission Church(EPMC) shares fully in the vision of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana which is : ‘to be a Christ-centered, self-sustaining and growing Church’

EPMC believe in the mission of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana without any reservation. It is therefore the mission of EPMC to uphold the centrality of the Word of God and through the enablement of the Holy Spirit, pursue a holistic ministry so as to bring all creation to glorify God.

Our mission statement as church to a larger extent, informs our choice of activities and programs. As a church, we strongly believe in the power of God we can achieve our mission by;

Mobilizing the entire church for prayer
Improving church growth through evangelism and nurture
Attaining self-sufficiency through effective resource mobilization
Promoting socio-economic development through advocacy and effective delivery of social service
Upholding the Reformed Tradition; and
Cherishing partnership with worldwide body of Christ.

Achieving our mission through the aforementioned activities is a priority for the church because we want to do it out of the strength and power that the Holy Spirit gives unto us. In fact, we engage in all these activities in the spirit of love and unity, believing that they will help edify the body of Christ and give glory to God.

The Emmanuel Presbyterian Mission Church also have some Core Values which we cherish and want us to be identified with. These values are so dear to our hearts that we do not want to see them compromised by any individual or group of individuals in the pursuit of their ambitions. Again, for whatever strategic objectives we may have at any given time, we do not in any way want to compromise these values in attaining them. Our core values as a church are:

As a Minister of the church I am committed to the fulfillment of the purpose statement of the church and I am also determined to work hand in hand with other leaders of the church likewise the entire members not forgetting other people in the community. It’s my dream that EPMC become a house of prayer and a place of worship where people are encouraged and motivated to have a good relationship with Jesus Christ, fear and serve the Lord with their God-given gifts and also rise above every divisive tendency to function as a true body of Christ-always ready to witness about Jesus Christ while remaining as light to affect our generation in a more positive way.
